Portraying the Male Abuser in Contemporary Women’s Fiction

Newspaper headlines show that awareness of intimate partner violence is a complicated issue needs further examination. Works fiction narrated by women trapped in abusive relationships are useful sites for the exploration what usually includes, and identification subtle behaviours can be defined as violent but go unnoticed. This article submits two contemporary works fiction, First Love Fifty Shades series, study covert mechanisms emotional abuse. To understand such mechanisms, engages with feminist well postfeminist thinking on violence.
